ENERGY.
Would the project:
a) Result in a potentially significant environmental
impact due to wasteful, inefficient, or unnecessary
consumption of energy, or wasteful use of energy F] F-1 El X E
resources, during project construction or operation?
b) Conflict with or obstruct a state or local plan for ❑ ❑ ❑ —1renewable energy or energy efficiency?
Impact Discussion:
a-b) The project will have no impact on energy resources nor will it conflict with a state or local plan because the project is
a General Plan Map Amendment and Zone Reclassification application. No development is proposed with this
application. Any future development of the project site will be subject to the California Energy Code (also titled The
Energy Efficiency Standards for Residential and Non-residential Buildings)The California Energy Code was created by
the California Building Standards Commission in response to a legislative mandate to reduce California's energy
consumption. The code's purpose is to advance the state's energy policy, develop renewable energy sources and
prepare for energy emergencies. The code includes energy conservation standards applicable to most buildings
throughout California. These requirements will be applicable to any future development at the project site ensuring that
any impact to the environment due to wasteful, inefficient, or unnecessary consumption of energy will be less than
significant and preventing any conflict with state or local plans for energy efficiency and renewable energy.
PA-1900031 and PA-1900037—Initial Study 12
