Prior to, and during construction of the effluent disposal structures,I will be available to work with
Siegfried Engineering and the selected contractor.
The surface soils over the entire site, down to approximately 1.5 ft below grade consists of a highly
organic, lean clay material (OL/CL)that forms clods and fissures, thus readily allowing water infiltration.
If this material is to remain in-place prior to disposal system construction, these areas should not be driven
over,or parked upon to prevent compaction. During emplacement of the sand filter material, some of this
material will enter these fissures and must be accounted for in calculating volumes.
From the perc test results for the proposed Buildings,we find permeability even where the fine-grained
soils possess a high degree of saturation due to capillary fringe influence and the significant rainfall that
has recently occurred. In the one area where permeability was unacceptable(Building A, South @ 125
min/in),this test result appears to be an anomaly. Soil permeability increases and becomes more
favorable at the north test site locations.
Thank you for the opportunity to provide this service.
