1 <br /> f <br /> Workplan for Interim Remediation&41h Quarter 2000 Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> Former Moore Petroleum Bull:Plant,5491 F Street,Banta,California <br /> Page 4 of 9 <br /> Drill cuttings from borings will be temporarily stockpiled on-site on and under visqueen pending <br /> receipt of the analytical results. A composite soil sample from the stockpiled drill cuttings will <br /> be analyzed for TPHg and TPHd by modified EPA Method 8015; BTEX by EPA Method 8020; <br /> the 'five oxygenates' and 1,2 dichloroethane (DCA) by EPA Method 8260; and soluble lead. by <br /> EPA Method 6010. The drill cuttings will be properly disposed pending receipt of analytical <br /> results. <br /> Auger decontamination, development and purge water will be temporarily stored on-site in <br /> approved Department of Transportation 55-gallon drums pending receipt of the analytical results. <br /> The water will be properly disposed pending receipt of analytical results of soil and groundwater <br /> sampling. <br /> SOIL SAMPLING <br /> Soil samples will be screened in the field and a minimum of one soil samples from well VEW-2, <br /> RW-1, RW-2, and RW-3 will be submitted, under chain-of-custody, to a state-certified <br /> laboratory for analysis of TPHg and TPHd by modified EPA Method 8015; and BTEX by EPA <br /> Method 8020; and the `five oxygenates', by EPA Method 8260; and, 1,2-DCA by EPA Method <br /> 8260. <br /> GROUNDWATER SAMPLING <br /> Groundwater samples will be collected from the four new wells (after well development), and the <br /> Rhodes well also. The groundwater samples will be submitted, under chain-of-custody, to a state <br /> certified laboratory for analysis of TPHg and TPHd by modified EPA Method 8015; and BTEX <br /> by EPA Method 8020; and the `five oxygenates', by EPA Method 8260; and, 1,2-DCA by EPA <br /> Method 8260. <br /> CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION <br /> E <br /> f Apex will design the vapor extraction system(VES)portion of the system to utilize the one <br /> existing vapor extraction well (VEW-1) and the one proposed vapor extractiori well (VEW-2). <br /> Hydrocarbon vapors will be extracted from the subject wells to the remediation compound by <br /> way of two individual 4-inch horizontal pipe runs (Figure 4). The-piping will be installed below <br /> f surface grade to a parking area behind the warehouse. <br /> F - <br />
