Please submit a chain of custody for this soil
sample. In addition, the table of soil sample results indicates the sample from
MW8-10' for TPH as gasoline was below laboratory detection limits. The
laboratory report indicates a concentration of 120 mg/kg was detected. This
should be corrected in the table of soil sample results.
MTBE has not been defined vertically or laterally in the soil or groundwater at
this site. The vertical extent of MTBE contamination in the area of MW8 must be
defined. Once the vertical extent is defined then, the lateral extent must be
defined.
Enclosed is a copy of a survey of water wells within a '/2 --mile radius of the site
that was previously conducted by Delta Environmental Consultants based on
information from the California Department of Water Resources (DWR).
Addresses of the wells identified were not provided and the map did not clearly
show the well locations. There are several wells located close to this site that
may not be listed with the DWR. A current survey of domestic, municipal,
agricultural, industrial and any other wells within a 2,000 foot radius of this site
must be conducted. A physical search of the area should be performed to locate
all wells/receptors. Provide the addresses of all the wells identified, a map
showing the locations of the wells and any known construction details of the
wells.
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
