i
I
{
Third Quarter 2002 Groundwater Monitoring Report
Moore Petroleum Bulk Plant,5491 F Street,Banta,California
Page 5 '
Modifications from Standard Monitoring Program:
MW-6 was located after being buried since April 2001 and was measured and sampled on
August 21, 2002. !
REMEDIATION SYSTEM SUMMARY
M
Soil Vapor Extraction System
System description: h
Soil vapor extraction system consisting of 100 standard cubic feet per minute (scfm)positive-
displacement blower and catalytic oxidizer.
System startup date: June 17, 2002 fi
Active extraction wells: MW-7, VEW-2, and VEW-3
Inactive extraction wells/reason: None
i
Modifications made during reporting period/reasons or modifications:
None
Status of system operation during reporting period/reasons for downtime:
Fully operational
CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on groundwater analytical results concentrations have decreased compared with previous
sampling events.
Groundwater elevations increased an average 0.38 feet this quarter compared with last quarter.
Groundwater isoconcentration maps Figures 4-8 show the petroleum hydrocarbon plume ;
centered by the dispenser island and is defined, with the exception of MTBE. Figure 8 shows the
MTBE plume not defined to the northeast. 1
Apex recommends continuing quarterly groundwater monitoring to confirm laboratory data and
monthly groundwater sampling of the domestic well. The next monitoring event is scheduled for
October 2002.
