Ms. Wendy Cohen
Page two
February 3, 1995
7 polynuclear aromatic compounds which were detected at levels
ranging from 0. 50 to 2 . 6 ug/kg (ppb) from the southern most well,
MW2-1.
Water sample analyses from each of the three wells on the Souza
parcel indicated all analytes were below method detection limits,
including polynuclear aromatic compounds.
Based upon the sampling results we are proposing no further action
at the Souza parcel and the abandonment of the three wells. We
seek your concurrence in this course.
The Souza parcel is currently in the permitting stage for
development and we anticipate that the Board will be asked to
comment. It is our position that the investigation has confirmed
that no significant environmental hazards are associated with the
property and that no restrictions on development are warranted.
Additionally, the water level data indicate the site is up-gradient
of the contamination along Byron Road associated with the petroleum
product pipeline. We request- your position with regard to any
conditions or further requirements which the Board would impose or
recommend.
We appreciate your assistance in this matter. If we can provide
any additional information please contact me at your earliest
convenience.
Respectfully,
Mi Creek A ociates
ussell W.
