KLtINILLULK
fi File No. 2182-25
June 13, 1990
Reference is made to Plate I of this report which shows
the location of the proposed parcel split site.
Currently, numerous residences exist surrounding the
site, with one residence present on the proposed parcel
3 of the site. The majority of the site consists of
pasture containing several horses .
On May 17 , 1990, a representative of our firm visited 10
of the residences located near the site to obtain
information on septic system use and to inquire about any
problems known to exist with this method of sewage
disposal . Of the 10 residences visited, only 2 reported
having minor problems with their septic systems,
locations 1 and 7 on Plate I . The problems reported
consisted of occasional back-up which required cleaning.
No other significant problems were reported to us at the
other residences visited, and several of the systems were
over 20 years old. No water quality problems were
reported from residences with domestic wells .
ITEM C-2 :
"Suitability of soil for development utilizing septic systems . "
On June 5, 1990, representatives of our firm drilled and
set-up 1 3-foot deep, 1 8 to 10-foot deep, and 1 15-foot
deep percolation test hole on each proposed parcel. The
test holes were drilled with a truck-mounted drill rig
using 6-inch diameter continuous-flight augers .
2
