"it KLLI NI LLULK
File No. 2182-25
June 13, 1990
Perforated PVC pipe was inserted the entire length of
each test hole to prevent disturbance when adding water.
The 3-foot deep test holes were then filled with
relatively clean water and left to soak overnight.
On June 6, 1990, a representative of our firm returned
to the site to perform the 3-foot deep percolation tests .
As per San Joaquin County guidelines, the tests were
performed for periods of from 30 minutes to 4 hours . The
last 30 minutes of each test were used to calculate the
percolation rates . In order to use standard leach lines,
the County requires a percolation rate of 60 minutes per
inch or faster at the 3-foot depth. The 3-foot deep
tests on parcels 1, 2, and 3 passed, and the 3-foot deep
test on parcel 4 failed. The results are presented in
Table I . The deeper percolation test holes on parcel 4
were filled with approximately 3 to 5 feet of water and
left to soak overnight.
On June 7, 1990, a representative of our firm returned
r7 to the site to perform the deeper percolation tests on
parcel 4 . The tests were performed per San Joaquin
. County guidelines for a period of 4 hours, with the last
30 minutes used to calculate the percolation rates . For
deeper percolation tests, San Joaquin County requires a
percolation rate of 30 minutes per inch or faster be
obtained. Our test results indicate percolation rates
of 30 minutes per inch were obtained at the approximate
3
