The Department has determined <br /> 5 that releases of hazardous substances at the above named Site <br /> 6 constitute a Public Nuisance as defined in Civil Code sections <br /> 7 3479 and 3480. <br /> B II <br /> 9 FINDINGS OF FACT <br /> 10 2 . 1 OVERVIEW <br /> 11 2 . 1. 1 The hazardous waste site ("Site") which is the subject of <br /> 12 this Remedial Action Order, is located 1856 Field Avenue, <br /> 13 Stockton, California, 95207 . A map showing the Site location is <br /> attached as Exhibit A. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 2 . 1.2 The LIKA Corporation Field Avenue Annex is a 14 ,000 <br /> 16 square foot building. LIKA used this facility as an etching, <br /> 17 plating, and processing plant for electronic components. The <br /> 18 facility was used from August 1982 to April 1985. Potentially <br /> 19 hazardous materials used at this facility included an acidic <br /> 20 copper solution and metal plating compounds. The point sources <br /> 21 where these materials may have been released to the environment <br /> 22 include a depressed concrete sump and corroded ductile iron <br /> 23 pipes. <br /> 24 2 .2 DESCRIPTION OF EACH RESPONDENT AND CONNECTION TO SITE <br /> 25 2.2. 1 TANDY Corporation is a foreign corporation in good <br /> 26 standing with the Secretary of State.
