0963c«-4 <br /> 5.0 SITE LAYOUT <br /> Because of the relatively low hazard associated with the work to be <br /> performed, dividing the site into the customary exclusion, contamina- <br /> tion reduction, and support areas is unnecessary. The site may be <br /> entered only by authorized individuals. Such individuals must meet <br /> medical surveillance and safety training requirements specified in <br /> this plan and must wear the specified protective equipment upon <br /> entering. <br /> 6.0 PERSONNEL PROTECTION <br /> The protective equipment required for the sampling effort is the same <br /> for both phases. The personal protection for EPA Level D classified <br /> work will be enforced. An EPA Level C contingency will be observed. <br /> Equipment specifications are based on the foregoing hazard assessment. <br /> V <br /> Respirator: None. Contingency: half-mask with air purifying <br /> cartridges approved by NIOSH for protection against <br /> fumes, dusts, and mists with PEL's not less than <br /> 0.05 mg/cu.m. <br /> Coveralls: Standard Tyvek, one-piece with hood. Upgrade to Saranex- <br /> coated Tyvek if contact with saturated samples is <br /> anticipated.
