kq KLEINFEL DER <br /> f 4.2 GROUNDWATER SAMPLING <br /> Groundwater samples were collected from the 17 monitoring wells previously noted. The wells <br /> were purged and sampled as described in Appendix A, Section A-4.2. The water purged from the <br /> wells was contained and left on site within the fenced Disco Area. <br /> i <br /> After collection, the groundwater samples were labeled, logged on a chain-of-custody, and <br /> immediately stored in an iced cooler. The samples were transported under chain-of-custody <br /> control to Kleinfelder's office and then transported by courier in a sealed container to BSK <br /> Analytical Laboratories of Fresno, California (BSK) for chemical analysis. BSK is certified by <br /> the California Department of Health Services to perform the requested analyses. The <br /> groundwater samples were analyzed for the following: <br /> I <br /> MW-DIS-1, MW-DIS-2, MW-DIS-4, MW-DIS-7s, MW-DIS-7d, MW-DIS-9, MW-DIS-11s, <br /> MW-DIS-11d, MW-DIS-12, MW-DIS-13, MW-DIS-14, MW-DIS-14d, SVE-north, SVE-south, <br /> NPI-70',NPI-80', and NPI-90'only; <br /> • Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons-gasoline (TPH-g)by DHS LUFT <br /> • Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, Xylene (BTEX) by EPA Method 8020 <br /> . • 1,2 DCA by EPA Method 8260 <br /> • EDB by EPA Method 8260 <br /> • TBA by EPA Method 8260 <br /> Additionally, MW-DIS-1, MW-DIS-2, MW-DIS-4, MW-DIS-7s, MW-DIS-7d, SVE-north, SVE- <br /> south, NP 1-70',NP 1-80', and NPI-90': <br /> Oxygenates,MTBE, DIPE, ETBE, TAME by EPA Method 8260 <br /> The samples were analyzed on a regular laboratory turnaround schedule, requiring approximately <br /> 14 working days for receipt of analytical data. <br /> i <br /> i <br /> 12280.MON/2002R394 Page 8 of 15 <br /> ®2002,Kleinfelder,Inc May 10,2002 <br />
