k" KL ElNFELDER
5 MONITORING RESULTS
The depth to groundwater was measured in each monitoring well included in this event. The
depth to groundwater data was converted to elevation in reference to mean sea level for the
i calculation of groundwater flow direction and gradient.
The 17 groundwater samples were submitted under chain-of-custody procedures to BSK
Analytical Laboratories of Fresno, California. Table 2 is a summary of the analytical results for
groundwater. For a complete report of the analytical results please refer to the chain-of-custody
forms and laboratory analytical reports included in Appendix C.
5.1. WATER LEVELS
On February 21, 2002, the 11 monitoring wells were sampled and sounded for depth to
groundwater. The depth to groundwater ranged from 41.14 feet below the top of well casing
(T.O.C.) to 50.20 feet below T.O.C.
The groundwater elevations ranged from —30.11 feet msl to —30.82 feet msl at the site. The
groundwater gradient was calculated to be relatively flat at 0.0005 feet/foot, and a general
direction of flow to the southeast. Plate 3 shows the interpreted groundwater contours. The
reported groundwater flow direction has been consistent with the historical data collected at the
site. Please refer to Table 1 for the recorded groundwater elevations on February 21, 2002, and
past monitoring events.
I
I
12280.MON/2002R394 Page 9 of 15
2002,Kleinfelder,Inc May 10,2002
