Limited Subsurface Site Assessment Work Plan <br /> WIZARD DEVELOPMENT PROPERTY <br /> 1943 East Fremont Street, Stockton,California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr. William Parish of Parish & Small, PLC,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. <br /> (AGE) has prepared this Limited Subsurface Site Assessment Work Plan for the property at <br /> 1943 East Fremont Street, Stockton, California (site). The work is being performed as part of due <br /> diligence effort to investigate areas ofpotential environmental concern at the site.The location of the <br /> site is illustrated on Figure 1. A plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2. <br /> This work plan was prepared as required by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department(EHD)for the procurement of soil boring permits and uses the Central Valley Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board document Appendix A-Tri-Regional Board StaffRecommendations for <br /> Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation of Underground Storage Tank Sites as a guideline. <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> The site is a vacant property that is utilized for pallet storage;it is located at the southeast corner of <br /> East Fremont Street and Wizard Avenue, in an area of mixed commercial and light industrial use <br /> (Figure 2). Features on the property include concrete foundations from former structures, a pallet <br /> assembly area on the southwest portion and a small office building on the northwest portion of the <br /> site. The San Joaquin County Tax Assessor's Office lists the site as Parcels 37 through 41 on Map <br /> 090 in Book 141 (APN 141-090-37 through 41) and Parcel 26 on Map 100 in Book 141 <br /> (APN 141-100-26). <br /> 2.1. REGIONAL GEOLOGIC/HYDROGEOLOGIC SETTING <br /> The site is situated within the southern portion of the Great Valley Geomorphic Province of <br /> California, a large, elongate, northwest trending, asymmetric structural trough; the northern and <br /> southern portions of the Province have been designated the Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys,The <br /> Province is bordered by the Coast Ranges to the west,the Klamath Mountains and Cascade Range <br /> to the north, and the Sierra Nevada to the east. <br /> The Great Valley has been filled with sediments derived from both marine and continental sources. <br /> Thickness of the sedimentary fill ranges from thin veneers along the valley edges to more than 20,000 <br /> feet in the south central portion of the valley. The sedimentary formations range in age from Jurassic <br /> to Recent,with the older deposits being primarily marine in origin and the younger deposits being <br /> primarily continental. Continental-derived sediments were primarily deposited in lacustrine,fluvial, <br /> and alluvial environments with sediment sources being the mountain ranges surrounding the valley <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br />
