O1 September 2009
AGE-NC Project No. 09-1717
• Boring B-7 will be advanced in an area approximately 50 feet east of the western property
boundary along to the northern boundary of Parcel 39.
• Boring B-8 will be advanced in an area approximately 320 feet east of the western property
boundary along the northern boundary of Parcel 37.
Utilizing direct push technology, soil borings will be advanced to depths of 25 feet bsg and 40 feet
bsg or until ground water is encountered;the proposed probe boring locations may be modified due
to field observations. As the borings are advanced, soil samples will be collected at regular intervals
beginning at 5 feet or 10 feet bsg and extending to the total depth of the probe boring. Field
procedures for advancement of probe borings and collection of soil samples are presented in Sections
4.1. and 4.2.
Selected soil samples from the probe borings will be analyzed by a State of California Department
of Public Health(CDPH)-certified laboratory for some or all of the following constituents:
• Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g) and total petroleum
hydrocarbons quantified as diesel (TPH-d)in accordance with EPA Method 8015M;
• Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in accordance with EPA Method 8260B; and
• LUFT metals,including cadmium(Cd), chromium(Cr),zinc(Zn),lead(Pb)and nickel(Ni)
in accordance with appropriate EPA Methods.
Laboratory reports for soil analyses, testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality control
(QA/QC) reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in a report with
findings and recommendations.
3.3. GRAB GROUND WATER SAMPLE COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS
A grab ground water sample will be collected from the"deep"soil probe borings during the boring
process using a Geoprobe water sampling assembly. Samples will be collected into 40-m1 volatile
organic analysis(VOA)vials and Miter amber bottles as appropriate for the required analyses, both
without preservative; grab ground water sample collection procedures are presented in Section 4.3.
Grab groundwater samples will be analyzedby a CDPH-certified laboratory for the constituents listed
in section 3.2.
Laboratory reports forgroundwater analyses,testing methods,laboratoryQA/QC reports,and sample
chain of custody documentation will be presented in a report.
Advmmed Geo Environmental,Inc.
