SCOPE OF WORK <br /> AGE proposes to advance eight soil probe borings for collection of soil and grab ground water <br /> samples. The investigation will include the following tasks: <br /> • Permitting and pre-field work activities; <br /> • Probe boring advancement; <br /> • Soil sample collection and analysis; <br /> • Grab ground water sample collection and analysis; and <br /> • Report preparation. <br /> 3.1. PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITY <br /> Applicable site assessment permits will be submitted to the EHD and a health and safety plan will be <br /> prepared in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Guidance Manual forHazardous Waste <br /> Site Activities (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Administration, U.S. Coast <br /> Guard and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, 1985). Prior to mobilization, the area of <br /> excavation willbe clearlymarked and autility clearance obtained through Underground Service Alert. <br /> 3.2. SOIL SAMPLE COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS <br /> AGE proposes to advance eightprobe borings(B-1 through B-8)in the following locations(Figure 2): <br /> • Boring B-1 will be advanced in the southeastern corner of Parcel 39. <br /> • Borings B-2 and B-3 will be advanced approximately 119 feet and 274 feet,respectively north <br /> of Fremont Street, along the western boundary of Parcel 41. <br /> • Boring B-4 will be advanced approximately 41 feet north of the foundation of a demolished <br /> building located on Parcel 38. <br /> • Boring B-5 will be advanced approximately 90 feet west of the foundation of a demolished <br /> building located on Parcel 38. <br /> • Boring B-6 will be advanced in the northeastern corner of Parcel 37. <br /> Advanced GeoEmironnnen[al,Inc. <br />
