McHenry Avenue Road Widening Project <br /> and vehicle access to land uses adjacent to the roadway and improve drainage conditions along <br /> McHenry Avenue. This project will not involve changes (widening)to City roadway facilities <br /> or service capabilities that would induce unplanned growth or remove an existing obstacle to growth. <br /> Property Acquisition and Tree Removal <br /> As part of the proposed project, it will likely be necessary to remove several structures and two <br /> olive trees located along the east side of McHenry Avenue between First Street and Catherine Way. <br /> Each of the properties that would be affected by the project and the types of structures that would be <br /> affected are identified below in Table 1. As part of its compliance with state law,the City will <br /> prepare an appraisal report that will govern the acquisition payments to affected property and business <br /> owners and will work individually with these property and business owners to address specific <br /> property acquisition issues. <br /> For any trees that would be removed that are in the City of Escalon's Street Tree Plan,the City will <br /> obtain the necessary approvals prior to removal in accordance with City of Escalon Ordinance 147. <br /> Construction Approach and Phasing <br /> The construction period would last approximately 3 to 4 months for all phases of construction, <br /> including startup and finishing activities. Actual road construction activities would likely occur <br /> over a 6 to 8 week period.
