(YVATC
A S S O C I A T E S I N C .
Summary Report Preparation
Upon receipt of analytical results, ATC will prepare a final summary report for the site. This
report will summarize all site activities, analytical results, updated mass balance calculations, and
contain recommendations. A copy of the report will be submitted to PHS/EHD.
WELL SURVEY
ATC previously performed a well survey for the site at the request of PHS/EHD in their
correspondence dated July 14, 1999. ATC reviewed Department of Water Resources (DWR)
groundwater well construction logs and San Joaquin County well installation permits to identify
any groundwater wells located within 2,000-foot radius of the site.
The search revealed twenty-two wells within approximately 2,000 feet of the site. None of the
wells are located close enough to the site to be considered potential receptors. The well locations
are shown on Figure 3. The wells were located on the map according to "well location"
description information provided on the well construction logs. Copies of the well construction
logs and well installation permits are contained in Attachment 1.
Well construction logs or well installation permits were not discovered for Well Nos. 8 through
L. 13 or 18 through 22. Well Nos. 6 and 7 are located at the Shell Oil Gas Station at 2575 Country
Club Boulevard. These wells have been identified by Shell Oil as MW-7 and MW-8. It is
assumed that wells MW-1 through MW-6 are also located onsite. Well Nos. 15, 16, and 17 are
located at the Exxon Gas Station at 2705 Country Club Boulevard. These wells have been
identified by Exxon as MW-6, MW-7, and MW-8. It is assumed that wells MW-1 through MW-5
are also located onsite. A site map showing the location of these wells is included with the well
construction logs.
There are three wells (Well Nos. 1, 4, and 5) located approximately 1,000 feet from the site. Well
No. 1 is located 1,000 feet north of the site at 2705 Country Club Boulevard. According to the
well construction log, the well is 95 feet deep with no screen interval identified on the log. Well
No. 4 is located 1,000 feet west-northwest of the site at 2929 Country Club Boulevard.
According to the well construction log, the well is 126 feet deep with no screened interval. Well
No. 5 is located 1,000 feet northwest of the site at 2833 Country Club Boulevard. According to
the well construction log, the well is 140 feet deep with no screen interval identified on the log.
Based on historical groundwater gradients measured at the site, the groundwater gradient
direction is to the north. Based on information in the San Joaquin County Flood Control and
Water Conservation District's Spring 1997 Groundwater Report, the inferred regional
groundwater gradient is to the northeast. Based on the distance from the site, it is unlikely that
any of these wells have been impacted by petroleum hydrocarbons from the site.
w:\62574\62574.02\reports\pumpwkp.doc 5
