The samples will be delivered to <br /> j a state certified laboratory following under chain-of-custody protocol within 48 hours of <br /> sampling, whenever possible. <br /> Y <br /> Soil in the uppermost brass tube will be described according to ASTM standard practice <br /> El for description and identification of soils (ASTM D-2488-84). Stratigraphic, genetic and <br /> other data/interpretations will also be recorded. Soil properties may also be determined <br /> rfrom the middle brass tube and from the sampler shoe. Alternatively the second sample <br /> tube may be used with the uppermost tube for preparation of duplicates. These field <br /> observations will be noted on a log prepared for each boring/weU. <br /> s During sampling, latex gloves will be worn to prevent cross-contamination with other <br /> samples.
