PUBLrC HEALTH
SER'VICES RtH•,N
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
JOGI KHANNA M.D.,M.P.H. " <
Health Officer
P.O. Box 2009 . (1601 East Hazelton Avenue) . Stockton,California 95201
(209)468.3400
May 23, 1990
Woolsey Oil
Bruce Woolsey
166 Frank West Circle
Stockton, CA 95231
RE: Woolsey Oil IN REPLY REFER TO SITE CODE: 1103
166 Frank West Circle
Pursuant to the telephone conversation of April 27, 1990 with Diane Hinson, additional site investigation
will be required. According to documentation provided by your geologist, groundwater depth was 22 feet
in 1983 which concurs with the reference data we have available in our office. The information submitted
from the report prepared by Kuhl and Associates was applied to the LUFT guidance documents for risk
assessment, and site closure could not be supported.
As discussed, in 1986 the property at 188 Frank West Circle had undergone an environmental assessment
in which three monitoring wells were installed. Groundwater depth at the time of installation was
recorded between eleven and fifteen feet. We are recommending at least one monitoring well be installed
on your property within ten feet of the suspect area. The neighboring monitoring wells can be utilized to
provide gradient data providing the wells are serviceable.
Our staff will be more than willing to meet with you at your convenience to provide you with guidance
documents and assist in providing instruction in how to prepare the workplan for the additional work.
Please do not hesitate to contact,Harlin Knoll, REHS,of my staff, at (209) 468-3455 if you have any
further questions.
Jogi D., M.P.H.
Health r
v
ur ella, REHS, Program Manager
Environmental Health Division
RV/HK:nr
CC.
