CRYSTAL CREAMERY - STOCKTON <br /> WKA No 1628 01 <br /> March 17, 1994 <br /> Page 4 <br /> On December 17 and 18, 1992, three monitoring wells were installed to depths of 40 feet <br /> at the locations shown on Plate 2 Ground water was encountered at approximately 26 <br /> feet below grade during drilling Test results revealed no detectable TPH-gasoline or <br /> BTEX concentrations in the soil samples collected during drilling Test results of the <br /> water samples collected from these three wells revealed TPH-gasoline in wells MW2 and <br /> MW4 at 69 ug/f and 11,000 µglf, respectively Benzene concentrations in the samples <br /> from MW2 and MW4 were 0 51 k.gle and 1,100 Ag/P, respectively TPH-gasoline was <br /> not detected in well MW3, only trace toluene was encountered in this well Ground <br /> water measurements taken in February 1993 indicate ground water remains at 26 feet <br /> below grade and is flowing to the north and east with a hydraulic gradient of 0 002 ft/ft <br /> Results of this investigation may be found in our Soil and Ground Water Investigation <br /> Report, dated February 25, 1993 A summary of analytical results for soil and water <br /> samples collected by WKA are included as Tables 2 and 3, respectively <br /> On December 21, 1993, the four monitoring wells were re-sampled Analytical results <br /> revealed TPH-gasoline concentrations of 7,300 µg/f in well MW4, 230 Ag/P in well <br /> MW3, <50 Ag/P in well MW2, and a sheen of product in well MW1 Ground water <br /> measurements indicate ground water is flowing to the east with a hydraulic gradient of <br /> 0 0007 ft/ft Results of our sampling may be found in our January 27, 199Y Quarterly <br /> Status Report A summary of analytical results is included in Table 3 <br /> Site Vicinity <br /> The Chase Chevrolet property located to the east of the site at 423 North Madison Street is <br /> reported to have soil and ground water contamination as a result of leaking underground fuel <br /> storage tanks This property covers two city blocks between Fremont Street to the north and <br /> Lindsay Street to the south and Van Buren Street to the west and Madison Street to the east <br /> The soil and ground water contamination is reported to be located beneath two areas of the Chase <br /> Chevrolet property near the northeast corner of Fremont and Madison Street, and near the <br /> UUALL CE KUML <br /> H c61 pap r Er ASSOCIATES INC <br />
