-- --- - -- -- ------- -- r - k3l KLEINFELDER
File No. 20-3389-01
September 24 , 1990
ITEM C-1 AND C-4 :
"The intensity and extent of the existing and proposed development
on septic tanks within and around the area (C-1) . " "The history
and past uses in the project area to assess potential problems (C-
4) : "
Reference is made to Plate I of this report which shows
the location of the proposed parcel split site. Currently,
the majority of the site and surrounding area consists of
pasture and agricultural fields with scattered farm houses.
Several farm building structures are located on the south
central portion of the site.
On August 29, 1990, a representative of our firm visited
3 residences and Holt school located off Inland, McDonald,
and Holt Roads. The purpose of our visits was to obtain
information on septic system use and to inquire about any
problems known to exist with this method of sewage
disposal . None of the people surveyed reported having
problems with the performance of their septic systems,
outside of the usual periodic pumping. All people surveyed
reported the upper groundwater aquifer was nonpotable, and
that potable water was below 400 feet deep. Therefore, they
used bottled water at the residences and trucked-in water
at the school .
ITEM C-2 :
"Suitability of soil for development utilizing septic systems. "
2
