i
ADDT.X'1rONAL ASSESSMENT WORKPLAN f
COLBERG BOAT WORKS
APRIL 20011.:
Groundwater samples will be collected using new disposable bailers at each well. The
`groundwater sample will be decanted from the bailer into laboratory provided containers, placed
into chilled coolers and transported to a state certified laboratory under proper COC
documentation.
ky
Groundwater Analyses
The groundwater will be analyzed by a California certified laboratory in accordance with state
guidelines and EPA protocol. The groundwater samples will be analyzed for TPH G, BTEX, 1,2-
DCA,EDB,and fuel oxygenates using EPA Methods 8015M, 8020 and 826013, respectively.
Site ,Survey',
Following installation of the groundwater monitoring wells, the location and elevation of the wells I
will be surveyed to the nearest 0.01 vertical foot. The elevation will be tied to the existing well
casing elevations. Static groundwater levels will be measured to the nearest 0.01-foot. These
data will be added to the site's data base.
SUMMARY REPORT
GHH will prepare an AAR to document this phase of work. The report will include: GHH's
interpretation of information gathered during the investigation; detailed descriptions of the j
`methodologies used to collect and analyze the data;analytical results;the total estimated mass of
impacted soil and groundwater;the estimated rate of transport of groundwater away from the
Site; copies of laboratory certificates with COC documentation; subcontractor reports;
conclusions and recommendations.
QUARTERLY MONITORING
Quarterly sampling of the new wells will be initiated. Monitoring wells MW-1,MW-2, MW-3
and MW-7 (new well)will be included in the sampling program. Depths to groundwater
measurements will be taken and the groundwater monitoring wells will be purged and sampled.
Groundwater samples will be analyzed for the same parameters as previously identified unless
otherwise directed by the County. A Quarterly Monitoring Report(QMR) will be issued
following each quarterly monitoring event.
i
f '
i
'r
6
k[F
