6. Prepare a Corrective Action Pian (CAP). The CAP will provide spec
remediation engineering recommendations for the site based on the pilot test
results. The CAP Will follow guidelines specified in the State of California Tri-
Regional Guidelines Appendix A.
7. Meet with San Joaquin County for one meeting. Additional meetings, if
necessary, would be billed on a time and materials basis in accordance with the
accompanying Fee Schedule.
JJW Geosciences anticipates that any remediation recommendations would be targeted
for short duration, perhaps 6 to 12 months. The intent of "active" remediation is to
reduce contaminant concentrations to levels in which the groundwater contaminant
plume ceases to expand. Once accomplished, natural biodegradation of the plume can
then begin. At that point, JJW Geosciences would recommend implementation of a
"passive"sampling and monitoring plan to gauge and confirm plume degradation.
In order to retain your eligibility for reimbursement, JJW Geosciences recommends that
this letter and accompanying cost estimate be submitted to the Underground Storage
Tank Cleanup Fund for pre-approval. This letter, and proposed scope of work, has
been reviewed and pre-approved by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Division_
Please feel free to call should you have any questions.
Respectfully,
JJW GEOSCIENCES, INC.
Daniel D.
