Initial Evaluation and Investigation of Underground Tanks, Appendix A, Tri- <br /> regional Recommendations for a Problem Assessment Report (PAR) . The PAR is a <br /> pro-active investigation designed to evaluate the spatial distribution of f <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons in subsoil and groundwatl'ler with an objective of obtaining <br /> sufficient data to evaluate site-specific applicability of migrating and remedial <br /> �+ alternatives. <br /> The scope of services to accomplish this investigation will include the <br /> following tasks: <br /> ii <br /> ro Additional research and review o,f pertinent, readily available <br /> 4. <br /> geologic and hydrogeologic literature, review previous site studies, <br /> review of local water wells and local businesses. <br /> o Obtain the necessary permits prior to commencement of the field <br /> portion of the investigation. <br /> i <br /> o Drill one additional soil boring and sample the subsoils for <br /> lithologic evaluation and chemicalland microbiological analyses. <br /> C <br /> o Install, develop and sample two additional groundwater monitoring <br /> wells. <br /> Ii s <br /> o Conduct a survey of installed wells', to e's' tablish groundwater depth, <br /> gradient, and direction of flow. <br /> o Chemical analysis of groundwater sI Ales to assess the presence and <br /> concentration of petroleum constituents. <br /> 'I <br /> o Preliminary in-situ testing of aquifer characteristics utilizing <br /> slug-testing methodology. <br /> o Report preparation <br /> I <br /> LI + <br /> 1 <br /> E <br /> CHEVMERC.H50 5 4 <br /> I` <br /> 1 <br />
