3. HAZARD ASSESSMENT <br />A. Objective: <br />This section identifies the hazardous substances that are routinely found at the <br />facility; their quantity, location, and hazardous properties; and sensitive areas <br />that may be affected in an environmental emergency. <br />All personnel involved with handling hazardous substances have been trained and <br />are familiar with the hazardous properties of the materials and wastes with which <br />they work. <br />B. Hazardous Substance Inventory: <br />A list of the hazardous materials and a list of hazardous wastes generally found <br />at the facility are presented in Tables 3-1 and 3-2, respectively. Included in <br />these Tables are the following types of information: <br />1. Hazardous Materials <br />a) Trade name, common name, and manufacturer of product. <br />b) Physical state, DOT number, storage method, storage location and uses <br />of product. <br />c) CAS numbers and percent weights of constitu;int chemicals. <br />d) Maximum and average quantities of product on hand at any one time. <br />e) Physical and health hazard categories of product. <br />2. Hazardous Wastes <br />a) Waste name and California Waste Category. <br />b) Composition of waste. <br />c) Maximum quantity of waste on hand at any one time. <br />d) Annual amount of waste generated from site. <br />e) Physical and health hazard categories. <br />f) Storage location and processes generating waste. <br />
