LODI VINTNERS, LTD. <br /> San Joaquin County <br /> 10. This order shall serve as a National Pollutant Discharge Elimina- <br /> tion System Permit pursuant to Section 402 of the Federal Water <br /> Pollution Control Act, or amendments thereto, and shall take ef- <br /> fect at the end of ten days from the date of hearing, provided <br /> the Regional Administrator has no objections. <br /> IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, Lodi Vintners , Ltd. , in order to meet the pro- <br /> visions contained in DiviE;.on 7 of the California Water Code and regu- <br /> l=ations adopted thereunder and the provisions of the Federal Water Pol- <br /> lution Control Act, and regulations and guidelines adopted thereunder <br /> shall comply with the following: <br /> A. Effluent Limitations , Cooling Water <br /> 1. The temperature of the discharge shall not exceed 860F at <br /> any time. <br /> 2. The discharger shall use the best practicable cost effective <br /> control technique currently available to limit mineralization <br /> to no more than a reasonable increment. <br /> 3. The discharge shall not have a pH of less than 6. 5 nor greater <br /> than 8.5 . <br /> 4. The discharge shall not contain toxic materials in concen- <br /> trations detrimental to human, plant, animal , bird, or fish <br /> life. <br /> B. Effluent Limitations , Process Wastes <br /> 1 . The discharge of wastes other than cooling water to surface <br /> waters or surface water drainage courses is prohibited. <br /> 2. Wastes discharged to land shall not cause degradation of any <br /> water supply. <br /> C. Receiving Water Limitations <br /> 1 . The discharge shall not cause visible oil , grease, scum, or <br /> foam in the receiving waters. <br /> 2. The discharge shall not cause fungus , slimes , or other ob- <br /> jectionable growths in the receiving waters. <br /> 3. The discharge shall not cause the concentration of dissolved <br /> oxygen in the receiving waters to be less than 7. 0 mg/l . <br /> 4. The discharge shall not cause esthetically undesirable dis- <br /> coloration of the receiving waters. <br /> 2 - <br />
