TOSCO CORPORATION <br /> JOB DESCRIPTION <br /> CLASSIFICATION: TERMINAL OPERATOR DEPARTMENT: TERMINALS <br /> LOCATION: STOCKTON TERMINAL DATE: JANUARY 3. 1996 <br /> 1. BASIC FUNCTION: <br /> Performs the operation, mechanical and management duties as required to be the one person <br /> on the site operator of a petroleum product distribution terminal. <br /> 2. SCOPE OF JOB: <br /> Normal job requirements include a high school or equivalent education, two or more years <br /> of experience in handling petroleum products and terminal type operations, and an aptitude <br /> for handling both mechanical and administrative type work. <br /> 3. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: <br /> a. Manages the operations and maintenance of the terminal. <br /> b. Performs gauging and operation of valves as required to receive and deliver products. <br /> C. Makes daily and monthly product reconciliations to balance deliveries versus <br /> inventory and receipts. <br /> d. Supervises truck loading to assure safe operation and compliance with rules and <br /> regulations. <br /> e. Performs minor repairs and adjustments for facilities and equipment. <br /> f. Calls in and supervises contractors for larger jobs when required. <br /> g. Maintains required operating and regulatory records. <br /> h. Takes actions as required to comply with Tosco and governmental regulations for <br /> safety, handling hazardous products and wastes, air emissions, groundwater <br /> contamination, etc. <br /> 4. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: <br /> Receives supervision from the Tosco Sacramento Terminal Manager located approximately <br /> 50 miles from the site at Tosco's Sacramento Terminal. <br />
