2.2.3 Disposal Activities <br /> Soil cuttings generated during the drilling activities were collected in a 10-yard roll-off bin. <br />' Approximately three cubic yards were generated. Based on historical site data and site <br /> borings, the soil was accepted by the Forward, Incorporated Landfill (Forward), located in <br />' Manteca, California, as non-hazardous material Appendix G provides a weight ticket <br /> documenting receipt of the soil at Forward Other debns, such as paper sacks and asphaltic <br /> concrete, was disposed of as garbage. <br /> 2.2.4 Demobilization <br /> Upon completion of field activities, all equipment was decontaminated and removed from the <br /> facility The site was restored as closely as possible to its onginal condition. <br /> 1 <br /> 10 Results <br />' 3.1 Site Geology <br /> The soil borings drilled during this field effort support the model of site geology that was <br />' developed from previous investigations (Figures 3, 4 and 5). The subsurface at the site <br /> consists primarily of silts and clays, with discontinuous interbedded silty sands. One laterally <br /> continuous sand unit (sand and silty sand) was encountered between approximately 45 feet <br /> and 55 feet in all site borings. To the east of the former excavation, a clean sand unit was <br />' encountered in soil boring MW-2 at a depth of 60 feet. This unit does not appear to be <br /> laterally continuous, as no indication of it was found in other site borings. Another sand unit <br /> (sand and silty sand) that may be laterally continuous was encountered at a depth of 75 feet <br /> in borings MW-4, MW-5 and MW-6. <br /> 3.2 Results <br /> 3.2.1 Chemical Analyses <br />' Sixteen soil samples were collected and analyzed for TPH as gasoline, TPH as diesel and <br /> BTEX. Table 1 presents a summary of the analytical results. Appendix D provides the <br />' laboratory analytical results. Figure 5 illustrates the current TPH as diesel concentrations in <br /> SB-I and SB-2. The analytical results did not yield any detectable concentrations of the <br /> target analytes in boring SB-2. Samples collected from bonng SB-1 yielded TPH as diesel in <br />' four samples, and BTEX in two samples.
