WEISS ASSOCIATES Consulting in Geology F Geohydrology
2054 University Ave., Suite 301/Berkeley, CA 94704 415-644-3281
23 June 1986
Mr. Richard Zimmerman
Terminal Manager
ST Services
2941 Navy Drive
Stockton, CA 9-3205
Re: ST Services Soil Sampling
Job # 86-204
Dear Mr. Zimmerman,
In response to your May 20 request, this letter briefly describes
analytical results from soil and ground water sampling and discusses
recommendations for further investigation at the ST Seryices Terminal,
6h/
Navy Drive, Stockton, California.
Two soil samples were collected about three feet beneath the waste oil
tank excavation and one water sample was retrieved from ground water migrating
into the excavation. Soil sample S1, from below the fill pipe end of the
tank, and the ground water sample were analyzed for total fuel hydrocarbons
(THCs), benzene, toluene and xylenes (BTX), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs)
and ethylene dibromide (EDB). Soil sample S2, from below the middle of the
tank, was held at the lab and not analyzed. THCs and BTX were analyzed by
ASTM Method D3328, PCBs were analyzed by EPA Method 608, and EDB was analyzed
according to California Recommended Methods Document AB 1803, page 301.
Analytic results are presented in Table 1.
A Division o/ AguaTierra Associates Incorporated
