Ms. Shelby Lathrop - 2 - 1 June 2009
Former Tosco Bulk Terminal No. 10013
concentrations ranged from 55 to 70 micrograms per liter (pg/L), including in
downgradient wells. TPHd concentrations ranged from 50 to 230 pg/L, and TBA
concentrations ranged from 12 pg/L to 260 pg/L. The highest concentration of MTBE
was 18 pg/L. The highest concentrations of COCs were generally present in source
area wells. These concentrations are consistent with historical values.
Based on the delays caused by access negotiations, Central Valley Water Board staff is
willing to extend the due date for the Report of Findings from 24 July 2009 to
28 August 2009. Please provide at least 48 hours notice prior to commencing well
installation activities.
If you have any questions regarding this letter, you may contact me at (916) 464-4811
or betaylor@waterboarca.gov.
BRIAN TAYLOR P.G.
Engineering/,Geologist
cc: Mr. 'Harlin Knoll, San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department, Stockton
Mr. Richard Stiffler, City of Stockton — Department of Municipal Utilities, Stockton
Ms. Debbie Callie, Port of Stockton, Stockton
Mr. Mark O'Brien, Port of Stockton/ERSC, Alamo
Mr. Jeff Kasper, Deputy Port Director, Environmental Planning & Facilities, Stockton
Mr. Sean Coyle, Stantec, Rancho Cordova
Mr, Joe Aldridge, NuStar Energy, Texas
Ms. Carol Campagna, Shell OPUS, Carson
