CALIFORNIA REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD <br /> CENTRAL VALLEY REGION <br /> MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM NO. 92-803 <br /> FOR <br /> BP OIL COMPANY <br /> STOCKTON FACILITY <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> Specific sample station locations are established under direction of the <br /> Board' s staff. <br /> Prior to construction, plans and specifications for ground water monitoring <br /> and/or extraction wells shall be submitted to Board staff for review and <br /> approval . After construction, new wells are to be sampled and analyzed for <br /> the constituents below and added to the monitoring program. <br /> GROUND WATER MONITORING <br /> There are six monitoring wells on-site as shown in Figure 1. The ground water <br /> monitoring program for the six monitoring wells and any additional wells <br /> installed subsequently, shall include the following: <br /> Sampling <br /> Constituents Units Type of Sample Frequency <br /> Depth to ground Feet ---- Quarterly <br /> water <br /> Benzene ug/1 Grab Quarterly <br /> Toluene ug/1 Grab Quarterly <br /> Ethylbenzene yg/l Grab Quarterly <br /> Xylene ug/l Grab Quarterly <br /> TPH as diesel ug/1 Grab Quarterly <br /> TPH as gasoline yg/l Grab Quarterly <br /> Total Lead ug/1 Grab Quarterly <br /> REPORTING <br /> Quarterly reports shall be submitted to the Board by the 30th day of the month <br /> following the end of each calendar quarter until such time that the Executive <br /> Officer determines that the reports are no longer necessary. <br /> Prior to startup of a ground water treatment system, the Discharger shall <br /> supply Board staff with a ground water monitoring program that will <br /> demonstrate the effectiveness of the ground water treatment system. <br /> An annual report evaluating the effectiveness and progress of investigation <br /> and remediation shall be submitted to the Board by 30 January of each year and <br /> may be substituted for the quarterly report for the fourth quarter.
