The Work Plan discusses the
release of diesel fuel from aboveground storage tank (AST) #1503 on 7 June 2002 and proposes seven
borings with soil and groundwater samples to delineate the extent of diesel pollution. ST Services will
conduct the work along with the investigation work near ASTs#3301 and#3302.
The Work Plan does not propose equipment decontamination. ST Services must decontaminate all
equipment between sampling locations. Based on the areas of investigation containing different
constituents of concern, ST Services should collect equipment blank samples to monitor for potential
cross contamination.
We concur with the Work Plan provided that the above comments are incorporated into the field work.
By 21 October 2002, please submit an investigation report detailing field activities, analytical results, and
recommendations for further delineation or remedial actions for the work performed at each of the AST
spill locations.
