SUY OF VIOLATIONS CLASS I,CLAS ,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) This is a report of the Routine hazardous waste inspection conducted at the referenced facility by San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD). The following are Class II (Repeat) violations: 108, 404, 407, 605, 610/611, 701, and the following is a Minor Violations - Notice to Comply: 703, 808/809, 907 108. (Repeat) Witnessed one yellow plastic box of greasy solid waste (about the size of a shoebox) and one pan of green color waste oil at the main hazardous waste storage area, a yellow plastic pan of waste oil on top of empty 55-gallon hazardous waste containers, about couple of cups in volume of metal fines by sanding lathe, one 5-gallon bucket of absorbent, and an open 5-gallon bucket of metal waste mixed with waste oil by band saw east of the hazardous waste storage area. Generator shall make hazardous waste determination of the waste and manage the waste accordingly. Immediately make a hazardous waste determination of the above wastes and manage each accordingly, or dispose of the waste as hazardous waste in accordance to California Code of Regulations (CCR) Title 22. In addition, hazardous waste properties and size of metal particles must be determined before they can be recycled as scrap metal. Hazardous metal particles 100 microns or smaller cannot be recycled but must be handled as hazardous waste. Submit a statement of correction and supporting documentation by 07/2112013. 404. (Repeat) Witnessed one 55-gallon drum of used oil not closed. All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. Submit a statement of correction and supporting documentation by 07/21/2013. ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE.
