Program: HW <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> CLASS I, CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> 703. An emergency coordinator information is lacking. There must be at least one emergency <br /> coordinator on site or on call to coordinate emergency response measures, and the following information <br /> must be posted by a phone: the name and phone number of the emergency coordinator; location of fire <br /> extinguishers, spill control equipment, and if present, fire alarm; and the phone number of the fire <br /> department, unless the facility has a direct alarm. Immediately appoint an emergency coordinator and <br /> post the required information by a phone. Generator has appointed an emergency coordinator and <br /> posted it in their Emergency Plan folder located at the hazardous waste storage area, which has phone <br /> and other communication devices in the area. Generator stated the employee year round on site also <br /> has radio on the person. Violation was corrected on site. <br /> 808/809/907. Witnessed one 5-gallon bucket of Universal Waste alkaline batteries, and one 30-gallon <br /> trash can of aerosol cans with no cover at the hazardous waste storage area; neither containers have <br /> start date of accumulation. Universal Wastes, including aerosol cans, lamps, alkaline batteries, mercury <br /> containing switches, CRT, electronic devices, etc. shall be stored in a closed container that prevents <br /> breakage and release to the environment, labeled to identify the type of Universal Waste, demonstrate <br /> the initial date of accumulation, managed within one year of storage, and retained a copy of the disposal <br /> receipt for at least 3 years on site. Immediately dispose of the above Universal Wastes and submit a <br /> copy of the disposal receipt to EHD by 07/21/2013. <br /> NOTES (The following are not violations) <br /> The facility generated 5.2325 tons of hazardous waste in 2013. Facility generates hazardous waste with <br /> its equipment maintenance. Facility also generates waste water from tomato washing/evaporation. <br /> Signature was refused by generator per company policy; a copy of this report was provided to generator <br /> during this inspection. Facility has a Wastewater Discharge Permit to City of Stockton POTW. Waste <br /> water is pH adjusted before release. Witnessed location and log of pre-adjusted wastewater sampling. <br /> Verified no hazardous waste treatment is being conducted during this inspection. pH level is required by <br /> City of Stockton to be between 5 and 10 before release according to generator.
