Surveying will be preformed under the direct supervision of a
California Registered Civil Engineer. Groundwater contours will be
constrv:ted using a kriging program.
5.3 Groundwater Sampling
Immediately following well development, groundwater samples will be
collected from each of the monitoring wells using a per-cleaned
bottom empltying bailer or a new disposable bailer. Stabilization
of EC, pH, and temperature will be checked prior to sample
collection to ensure samples collected are representative of
formation water. Water sample collection and preservation will be
in accordance with WaterWork'e Quality Assurance and Quality
Control Plan, groundwater sampling protocol (Appendix I) .
5.4 Laboratory Analyses
All soil and groundwater samples will be submitted to a state-
certified laboratory for analyses. Soil samples will be analyzed
for TPA as gasoline, TPH as diesel, and BTEX using EPA methods
8020, 3550/8015, and modified 8015. Water samples will be analyzed
. for TPH as gasoline and diesel, and BTEX using EPA methods 602 and
a 3510/8015. If groundwater samples record nondetectable levels of
i
petroleum constituents, a second round of monitoring and sampling
• will be conducted the following month. If nondetectable
L concentrations are reported in the second samples, well abandonment
rµ and site closure will be proposed.
t„.
? 6.0 NMTS MAKAGBKl NT
If hydrocarbon-bearing drill cuttings are produced, they will be
aF stored on site on and covered by 6 mil. plastic sheeting. A sample
of the soil will be collected and analyzed for waste
characterization. Proper disposal procedures will be dependant on
laboratory analyses. If hydrocarbon-bearing soil is encountered,
the drilling augers will be steam cleaned prior to drilling the net
Chevron U 8 A Zec . 361
A032791 TLV S
Cbl
