FREMONT ST., STOCKTON <br /> SITE CODE 1782 <br /> Prepared by <br /> Wm. J. Hunter & Associates <br /> October, 2000 <br /> PURPOSE OF WORK: <br /> The San Joaquin Co. PHS, EHD, has required that the lateral limits of the soil and <br /> groundwater contamination beneath the site be determined. On Aprii 28, 2000, Wm. <br /> J. Hunter &Associates, (WJH) submitted a workplan for placing 2 groundwater <br /> monitoring wells to delineate the limits of soil and water contamination which exists <br /> beneath the property. That workplan was approved on May 5, 2000, and the State <br /> Cleanup Fund approved the cost estimate on July 12, 2000. This report covers the <br /> results of that work, which was completed on August 15, 2000. A copy of the <br /> . workplan & San Joaquin Co. EHD approval are included as EXHIBIT A. A copy of <br /> the SWRCB cost approval letter is included in EXHIBIT B. EXHIBIT C is a copy of <br /> the SJCEHD letter authorizing 3 monitoring wells - only two had been included in the <br /> approved workplan <br /> PROPERTY LOCATION: <br /> The site is located at 1401 W. Fremont Street in the City of Stockton. It consists of <br /> approximately .26 acres; the Assessor's parcel No. is 135-25-31. <br /> NAME & ADDRESS OF PROPERTY OWNERS: <br /> Valley Wholesale Drug Co., Inc., 1401 W. Fremont Street, Stockton <br /> CONTACT PERSON: <br /> Paul Souva, Controller; (209) 466-0131, ext. 224. <br /> REGIONAL GEOGRAPHIC SETTING: <br /> I <br /> The property is located in the southwestern part of the city of Stockton, almost <br /> directly beneath Interstate 5. The Stockton deepwater channel is about one block <br /> to the south, near the terminous of Mormon Slough. The area is primarily zoned for <br /> Wm. J.Hunter&Associates 1 <br />
