This work plan outlines the destruction of the monitoring wells at ARCO Station 5450 located at 1617 Freemont Avenue in Stockton, California (Figure 1). The well destructions are being completed to obtain a "No Further Action" designation for the site, per your June 6, 2006 letter. This work plan includes a brief discussion of the proposed destruction of monitoring wells MW-2, MW-3 and MW-4. WELL CONSTRUCTION DETAILS The well5proposed for destruction at the subject sitemonitoring wells MW-2, MW-3 and MW-4. These monitoring wells are constructed of schedule 40 PVC casing installed to total depths of approximately 26 feet below ground surface (bgs). The well construction details are outlined in Table 1. The well includes a well box set in concrete and constructed flush with the existing ground surface. The well logs are included in Attachment A. WELL DESTRUCTION Health and Safety — Prior to conducting the well destructions, a site specific Health and Safety Plan (HASP) will be prepared for use by personnel during the implementation of this work plan. The HASP will address the proposed activities and a copy will be available onsite during field work. Subcontractors performing field activities will also be provided a copy of the HASP prior to initiating work. Permitting - Well destruction permits and associated fees will be submitted by the contractor executing the field activities.
