This work plan outlines the <br /> destruction of the monitoring wells at ARCO Station 5450 located at 1617 Freemont <br /> Avenue in Stockton, California (Figure 1). The well destructions are being completed to <br /> obtain a "No Further Action" designation for the site, per your June 6, 2006 letter. This <br /> work plan includes a brief discussion of the proposed destruction of monitoring wells <br /> MW-2, MW-3 and MW-4. <br /> WELL CONSTRUCTION DETAILS <br /> The well5proposed for destruction at the subject sitemonitoring wells MW-2, MW-3 and <br /> MW-4. These monitoring wells are constructed of schedule 40 PVC casing installed to <br /> total depths of approximately 26 feet below ground surface (bgs). The well construction <br /> details are outlined in Table 1. The well includes a well box set in concrete and constructed <br /> flush with the existing ground surface. The well logs are included in Attachment A. <br /> WELL DESTRUCTION <br /> Health and Safety — Prior to conducting the well destructions, a site specific Health and <br /> Safety Plan (HASP) will be prepared for use by personnel during the implementation of this <br /> work plan. The HASP will address the proposed activities and a copy will be available <br /> onsite during field work. Subcontractors performing field activities will also be provided a <br /> copy of the HASP prior to initiating work. <br /> Permitting - Well destruction permits and associated fees will be submitted by the <br /> contractor executing the field activities. <br />
