Box 388
Stockton, California 95201-0388
Subject: Request for Site Closure, at NorCal Beverage Company, 1800 East Fremont Street,
Stockton, California (site code: 1106)
Mr. Sasson:
This closure report is being submitted in response to the November 3, 1994 meeting conducted at the
San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Division (PHS/EHD) offices. Present at the
meeting were representatives of RESNA Industries, Inc. (RESNA), Mr. Peter Ruhkala, and PHS/EHD.
INTRODUCTION
The purpose of the meeting was to determine the PHSIEHD requirements to resubmit a closure request
to the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB). The PHSIEHD determined
that the subject site would be treated as a new site because no data had been collected since July 1993
and in order to expedite closure. The PHSIEHD required that monitoring well-MWI be sampled for
two additional quarters (Fourth Quarter 1994, First Quarter 1995). .--PHS/EHD stated that if the
analytical results for the two quarterly sampling events were non-detectable for total petroleum
hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX)
closure documentation would be submitted to the CVRWQCB.
MW1 was monitored and sampled during the fourth quarter of 1994 and the first quarter of 1995.
TPHg and BTEX were not detected in the groundwater samples collected during either sampling event.
1
