1117 Lone Palin Avenue, Suite 201
V Modesto, California -2225
( %TC
209579-2221
Fax: 209-579-2225
ASSOCIATES INC .
high dose test in Task 3 . Soil and groundwater firom the original Task 3 test and the repeated test may be
combined , Two sets of tests will be conducted . The first set will comprise four replicates containing
groundwater treated with ozone and site soils not treated with ozone; these will represent conditions
down gradient of the treatment zone. The second set will consist of four replicates containing treated
water and frealed soil; these represent conditions within the treatment zone, once ozonation has ceased.
Periodically, one replicate from each set will be utilized and the aqueous phase will be analyzed for
bromate.
Analytical Methods
Analytical methods for chemical analyses are TPHg (GRO), BTEX, oxygenates, 1 ,2-DCA by EPA
Method 8015/8260B, bromide and bromate by EPA Method 300, total chromium by EPA 6020, Cr(VI)
by EPA Method 7199 or Hach (Hach DR 2010 Spectrophotometer and appropriate Hach kit reagents).
i
SENSITIVE RECEPTOR SURVEY
ATC proposes the completion of a sensitive receptor survey for the site and surrounding area. Water well
construction logs for locations within a half-mile radius will be requested from the Department of Water
Resources (DWR) in Sacramento, California. A walking survey of the site and vicinity will be conducted i
to identify known or visible groundwater wells located within 2,000400t radius.
Current topographic and street maps will be examined as well a visual site reconnaissance to identify
surface water bodies of nahn•al or man-made origin in the vicinity of the site. Schools, daycare facilities,
hospice/special care, hospitals and other health care facilities will also be identified and plotted on an
area map,
SITE CONCEPTUAL MODEL
ATC recommends the preparation of a site conceptual model summarizing historical site data to include
the following:
i
• Subsurface Geology and Site Topography
• Regional and Local Hydrogeology (direction/gradient and velocity of groundwater flow)
• Aquifer Geochemistry
• Major Migration Pathways
Surface and Surface Features
• Surface and Subsurface Water Features (uses and potential vicinity receptors)
• Exposure Evaluation Flowchart
• Contaminant Mass Calculations
• Site Risk Evaluation
• Supplemental Documentation
o Local and regional plan view maps showing location of contaminant source(s), extent of
contamination, direction and rate of groundwater flow and location of receptors.
i
Workplan for Feasibility Studies — Former Stockton Taxi Company ATC Associates Inc.
S:...\28349\ WP for Pilot Testingand SCM ATC Project No. 54.28349.0001
12
