Stockton Taxi Cab/Sunland Gasoline September 16,2003
2085 Fremont Street,Stockton, California Page 4
I Report of Findings: Lateral and Vertical Extent
of Soil and Groundwater Contamination
The laboratory samples did not have head space and were immediately sealed in
r their liners using Teflon® lined plastic caps. The remaining sample was removed
from its liner to be used as an aide to the on-site professional in logging the
' material at that depth.
Soil samples collected for analysis were analyzed using EPA method 5030/LUFT
I for gasoline petroleum hydrocarbons, EPA method 6010B for Lead, EPA method
8260B for BTEX compounds and oxygenates (MTBE, 1,2 DCA, EDB, Ethanol,
Methanol, TAME, TBA, ETBE, DIPE). Analyses were conducted by
GeoAnalytical Laboratories, Inc. a State certified laboratory. All samples were
recorded on a Chain of Custody and placed in an Ice Chest with Blue Ice® for
transport to the lab.
I4.0 Analytical Results
The laboratory analytical results for the two borings (B-4, B-5) and the four monitoring
I wells are provided below. Table 1 of this report provides a complete tabular summary of
the laboratory soil data. Laboratory analytical data and chain of custody can be found in
Appendix A of this report.
1 4.1 Boring B-3
' Boring B-3 was terminated at 25 feet below ground level due to drill rig failure.
The boring was back-filled and Boring B-4 was completed in the vicinity of B-3.
No soil samples were collected from B-3.
4.2 Baring B-4
' The soil analytical results from B-4 showed the presence yt p e of Lead at a
concentration of 9.5 mg/Kg in B-4 @ 30.0' and the presence of 1,2 DCA at levels
of 22, 53 and 13 ug/Kg in samples B-4 @ 40.0', B-4 @ 60.0', and B-4 @ 70',
respectively. All other analytes were "ND", not detected at or above the reporting
limits. See Table 1 and 2 for the complete tabular summary of the soil data for B-
4.
1
1
