Fremont Street <br /> Stockton, California <br /> WIC 204-7524-1808 <br /> Dear Ms. Lagorio: <br /> ' Enviros, Inc. (Enviros)has prepared this Work Plan describing activities to be performed <br /> during the removal and replacement of underground storage tanks (USTs) at the above <br /> referenced location (Plates 1 and 2). Environmental work will be performed to comply <br /> with appropriate Regional Water Quality Control Board and San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Division (SJCEHD) guidelines. <br /> Executive Summary <br /> • The removal of four(4) gasoline USTs and associated piping is scheduled to <br /> begin on April 22, 1996. <br /> • The old tanks will be replaced by two new gasoline USTs and associated piping. <br /> • Soil samples from the UST excavation and trenches will be analyzed for TPH-G, <br /> BTEX,Total Lead and MTBE. <br /> • If ground water is encountered in the tank pit during excavation activities, a <br /> ground water sample will be collected and analyzed for TPH-G, BTEX,Total <br /> Lead and MTBE. <br /> • If over-excavation of soils is necessary, an Enviros geologist will direct the <br /> excavation contractor. Soils will be screened by visual observation and using an <br /> organic vapor meter. Confirmation soil samples will be collected and analyzed <br /> for TPH-G, BTEX, Total Lead and MTBE. <br /> • Excavated soils will be stockpiled on-site.
