AMBftIA
The secondary objective of interim GWE was to determine the hydraulic properties of the
aquifers Again, these activities were conducted with the understanding that the existing well
network was not ideal for meeting this objective Step discharge testing determined that the
sustainable yield of the upper water bearing zone is at least 0 75 gpm, and the deeper water
bearing zone is at least 60 gpm Analysis of recovery data estimated aquifer properties that were
fairly consistent with soil types encountered during investigation activities Again, the results
should be considered approximate due to the limiting factors encountered during testing and the
assumptions of the analysis method
RECOMMENDATIONS
At this point Cambria does not recommend additional interim remedial activities at the subject
site With the possibility that the former service station located upgradrent may have had a
release and is the primary source or secondary source of 1,2-DCA, further remedial efforts are
not advisable If 1,2-DCA concentrations are higher beneath the former service station and Shell
were to perform more groundwater extraction (mass removal) events, these efforts may mobilize
the 1,2-DCA plume beneath the upgradrent site Until this upgradrent site can be investigated,
we recommend no further rntenm remedial activities
Cambria recommends continued quarterly monitoring of the existing groundwater monitoring
wells at the site Cambria is prepared to perform site assessment activities at the former service
station property as soon as property access can be obtained
0797 12
