CAMBRIA
o A water supply well located approximately 600 feet east-southeast of the subject site was
identified during our sensitive receptor survey (October 10, 2001) Cambria proposes
drilling soil borings between the suspected source area (northern fuel dispenser) at the
subject site and the water supply well Grab groundwater samples will be collected from the
borings at several depth intervals to assess groundwater quality in the east-southeastern
portion of the site
WORK PLAN
We propose installation of three deep groundwater monitoring wells at the subject site The
wells will allow repeated monitoring events in deep groundwater zones to determine
concentration of gasoline constituents and to evaluate concentration trends over time Based on
the results of the soil borings proposed in this work plan and data collected from these deep
monitoring wells, additional deep groundwater monitoring wells may be installed in the future if
warranted
• Work Tasks
Well Permit Cambria will obtain a well permit for each parcel (two) where wells and borings
are proposed Cambria will obtain City of Stockton encroachment permit for the proposed
borings north and northwest of the site We will apply for the well permit and the encroachment
permit after SJCPHS/EHD has reviewed and approved of our work plan
Site Safety Plan: A Site Safety Plan will be prepared for field work
Utility Clearance, The proposed drilling location will be marked and cleared through
Underground Service Alert prior to drilling
Site Investigation- Three deep groundwater monitoring wells are proposed at the locations
shown on Figure 2 The wells will be drilled using hollow-stem auger drilling equipment If,
after consulting with the driller it is deterrnmed appropriate to install a conductor casing as part
of installing these wells, a mud-rotary drilling rig may be used for drilling the upper portion of
the well and for conductor casing installation
Seven soil borings are proposed at the locations shown on Figure 2 These borings will be
• drilled with cone penetration testing (CPT) equipment Grab groundwater samples will be
0797 2
