i 0 <br /> CAB R I A <br /> collected from these bonngs to assess both shallow and deep groundwater quality around the <br /> subject site <br /> A Cambria geologist will supervise the drilling activities Soils encountered in the well bonngs <br /> will be described using the Unified Soil Classification System and Munsell Soil Color Charts <br /> The CPT bonngs will be logged using CPT logging equipment Soil samples will be collected <br /> from the well borings for soil description at five-foot intervals until we near the depth of the <br /> proposed screen intervals At this point we will perform continuous soil sampling to verify the <br /> logs from the CPT borings Soil samples will be screened in the field for organic vapors using a <br /> photo-ionization detector (PID) Exploratory boring logs will be prepared for the well boring <br /> PID measurements will be recorded on the boring log The scope of work described in this work <br /> plan will be performed under the supervision of a registered geologist <br /> The wells will be completed using two-inch diameter Schedule 40 PVC casing The screened <br /> section will be composed of 0 020-inch slotted PVC The screen intervals will be approximately <br /> ten feet long and from approximately 75 to 85 feet below grade (fbg) The sand pack will consist <br /> of Lonestar# 2/12 sand (or equivalent) and will be placed along the entire length of the screen <br /> interval and one to two feet above the top of the well screen followed by a two-foot thick <br /> bentonite seal and cement grout to grade Actual well construction details will be based on field <br /> conditions at the time of drilling <br /> The wells will be secured with a locking cap under a traffic-rated well box A licensed surveyor <br /> will survey the wellhead relative to mean sea level The surveyor will also survey the well <br /> longitude and latitude per State of California guidelines <br /> Well Development and Sampling- The newly installed wells will be develop prior to sampling <br /> After well development,Blaine Tech Services, Inc (Blaine) will sample the wells and submit the <br /> samples to a state-certified laboratory for chemical analyses <br /> Chemical Analyses• Groundwater samples will be analyzed for TPHg, BTEX, seven fuel <br /> oxygenates, and lead scavengers by EPA Method 8260 <br /> Report Preparation: Within 45 days of the receipt of analytical results from the laboratory, <br /> Cambria will prepare a written report which will include field procedures, laboratory results, <br /> boring logs, conclusions, and recommendations <br /> 0797 3 <br />
