Well Construction
Well Materials Wells S-1, S-2, and S-3 were constructed using two-inch diameter,
Schedule 40 PVC threaded, casing with a screen size of 0 020 inch
and Number 3 Lonestar sand
Screened Interval The screened interval for each well was constructed from 45 to 65
fbg Monitoring well construction details are presented in Table 1 and
recorded on the exploratory boring logs presented in Appendix A
Well Development/ Sampling Blaine Technical Services, Inc (Blaine) of San Jose, California
developed and sampled Wells S-1, S-2, and S-3 on May 11, 1998
Blaine developed the wells using surge block agitation and evacuation
by pumping After development, separate phase product was noted in
Well S-1 at a thickness of 0 01 foot, therefore a ground water sample
was not collected from this well Blaine's ground water monitoring
and development report and the associated laboratory analytical data
are presented to Appendix B
. Wellhead Survey Top of casing elevations for each well was surveyed by Mr Virgil
Chavez, Licensed Land Surveyor #6328, of Vallejo, California on
May 15, 1998 The elevations of the top of the well casings are
presented in Table 3
Ground Water Analyses Ground water samples collected from the wells were analyzed for
TPPH, BTEX, and fuel oxygenates
Ground Water Flow Direction A ground water contour map was prepared using the water-level
measurement data collected from Wells S-1, S-2, and S-3 prior to
development on May 11, 1998 (Plate 2) Ground water flow
direction appears to be southerly at an approximate hydraulic gradient
of 0 001
Ground Water Elevations Static ground water elevations gauged on May 11, 1998 ranged from -
28 49 feet to 28 60 feet (Table 3)
240-0797 4
