Environmental Standard Procedure
Page 3
east corner of the Etch room. When the solution is no longer effective, the drain
valve is partially opened draining the solution slowly into the On-Site treatment
system for eventual pH adjustment. The tank is then washed and drained again
with approximately 5 gallons of additional water. This results in a total discharge of
75 gallons each time the tank is changed. The operator responsible for
discharging the rinse solution must take care to routinely monitor the T5 pH
controller outside to verify that the final pH discharge is between 6 toll and then
record the discharge on the Etch Hazardous Waste Log.
3.2.6. Etch Solution - spent etch solution is manually discharged into the U1 T1 process
waste water collection tank via a floor drain located near the south east corner of the
Etch room. Chemco 33S Solution - spent Chemco solution is manually discharged into the U1
T1 process waste water collection tank via a floor drain located near the south east
corner of the Etch room. CPS A7 Screen Wash - spent screen wash is discharged into the Ul T2 process
waste water collection tank via a wash basin drain located in the screen preparation
area. Screen wash is gradually discharged into the On-Site treatment system for
eventual pH adjustment as screens are cleaned. The amount of discharge various
depending upon the dirtiness of the screen and the discharge is recorded when the
operator refills the 24oz squirt bottle. The operator responsible records the
discharge on the Screen Clean Hazardous Waste Log.
3.2.9. Specialty Cleaner 740 Solution - spent Specialty Cleaner 740 mild alkaline
cleaning solution (ph -- 10.0) is discharged into the U1 T1 process waste water
collection tank via drain located in the coil anodizing line. The cleaning solution is
typically discharged once per week (when the anodizing line is processing material
213 of the year) into the On-Site treatment system for pH monitoring and
adjustment. The amount of discharge is 35 gal. The operator responsible records
the discharge along with any additional necessary on the Anodizing Hazardous
Waste Log.
3.3. System Description (Refer to plot diagram as necessary)
3.3.1. Tanks and Valves
