(ATC) has prepared this workplan for well destruction,. on behalf of Diesel <br /> Performance Inc., for the above referenced site. <br /> The scope of work 'in brief includes obtaining permits, .pressure grouting the' groundwater . <br /> monitoring and remediation wells, and preparing: a. summary report. The scope of work is <br /> described in detail in the following paragraphs. <br /> SITE LOCATION <br /> The site is located at located.at 2804 East Fremont Street in Stockton, California, as shown on <br /> Figure 1 and Figure 2. <br /> SITE HISTORY <br /> In February 1987, SEMCO removed and disposed of one 3,000-gallon underground storage <br /> tank (UST), associatedpiping, and fuel dispenser used to store and dispense unleaded <br /> gasoline, at the location.shown on,Figure 3.:A soil sample collected from 13 feet below ground <br /> surface (bgs) contained elevated concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbon contaminants. The <br /> excavation was subsequently backfilled and resurfaced. <br /> On July 23, 1997, an ATC geologist supervised the advancement of five direct-push soil borings <br /> (SB1 through S135) ranging in depth from 6 to 46 feet bgs. Petroleum hydrocarbons were <br /> detected in soil samples submitted for laboratory analyses from SB3. Site 'activities are <br /> summarized in ATC's Summary Report.for Subsurface Investigafion; dated October 20, 1997. <br /> From September 25 to 28, 1998,.ATC personnel supervised the advancement of soil boring to a . <br /> depth of approximately 65 feet bgs. This boring was completed as groundwater monitoring well <br /> MW1.
