Lori Duncan [EH]
From: John P. Lane Ulane@leeandpierce.com]
Sent: Wednesday, November 16, 2011 11:29 AM
To: Lori Duncan [EH]
Cc: Henry, Wayne; Knutson, Kathy
Subject: Excavation and Air Sampling Summary Report, Fremont Gate LLC, 2911 E. Fremont,
Stockton
Attachments: 10759_ExcSumRpt_2911 E. Fremont.pdf
u
10759_
umRpt_2911 E. Frei
Lori,
Attached is the pdf version of the summary report for the site at 2911 E. Fremont Street,
Stockton, CA. Hard copy will follow via U.S. Mail.
As you know some residual soil contamination left in place due to site constraints.
However, based on groundwater samples collected previously, no impact to groundwater above
MCLs. Air samples both inside and outside contained gasoline constituents, notably
benzene in all samples above the one in a million cancer risk. The cumulative cancer risk
in outdoor air averaged 1.4E-6 and indoor air averaged 4.3E-6, all at the lower end of the
range of acceptable values established by the EPA of 10E-4 to 10E-6 for
commercial/industrial sites, depending upon site specific use.
I'm recommending site closure as low risk, although we would meet with site workers to
present the results and answer questions.
I look forward to your response. Feel free to call me if you have any questions during
your review.
Thank you,
John P. Lane, PG
Lee & Pierce, Inc.
334 S.
