As was referenced in PHS/EHD correspondence dated August;30, 1991 and Central
Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB)'correspondence dated July 30, 1991,
additional soil and groundwater investigation was requested prior to closure. Unfortunately, the single
soil boring which was drilled in the area of the former"tanks did not provide sufficient information for
closure evaluation. i
i
Additional investigation will be necessary prior to site closure. Please prepare a;work plan to more Fully I
investigate residual contamination in the area of the former tanks and residual contamination which may
have been deposited as a result of a lowering of the groundwater level. Please submit a work plan for
closure investigation by December 15, 1992 The results of the additional investigation should be
included with the results of previous investigations in a closure summary report.
If you have any questions or comments, please contact Mary Meays, REHS, ofmy staff at (209)468-
0337.
E
Jogi Khanna, M.D., M.P.H.
Health Off '
E
L rie A.
