This was to verify the "detection of total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline
(TPH-g) [800 micrograms per liter (µg/L)] in groundwater samples collected at sixty-five to
seventy-five" feet below surface grade (bsg) from nearby cone penetration test (CPT) borehole
P-15B/65-75.
The EHD has reexamined the historical groundwater data at Grewal's Market and has concluded
that the concentration of TPH-g detected in P-15B is not likely to represent a significant dissolved
mass migrating southwest of the.petroleurn hydrocarbon source area, as.indicated by the following
data:
• Groundwater samples collected at sixty-six to seventy-one feet bsg from CPT borehole
P-16/66-71, approximately seventy-five feet northwest of P-15B, were non-detect for
TPH-g.
• Groundwater samples collected from monitoring well MW4, screened between forty-eight
and,sixty-eight feet bsg, and approximately sixty feet north of P-1513, were non-detect for
TPH-g.
• Groundwater samples collected from MW-1, screened between fifty and seventy feet bsg,
and approximately one-hundred-twenty feet northeast of P-15B, were non-detect for
TPH-g.
• Groundwater samples collected at seventy-two to seventy-six feet bsg from CPT borehole
CPT-01-76, approximately one-hundred feet north/northeast of P-1513, were non-detect for
TPH-g.
• Groundwater samples collected at fifty-five to fifty-nine feet bsg and seventy-six to eighty
feet bsg from CPT boreholes CPT-02-59 and CPT-02-80, respectively, approximately fifty
feet east of P-15B, were non-detect for TPH-g.
r.
